The Bloom Group has been supporting our community for over 50 years. Since 1961, The Bloom Group has led many of our community’s most progressive social services to reduce homelessness, provide end-of-life care for individuals with mental health challenges and addictions, ensure women-led families in crisis can stay together as they rebuild their lives, and much more. Our ‘low-barrier’ services are inclusive and available to all individuals in need, regardless of their circumstances, and without conditions. The Bloom Group was challenged with aging servers, switches, and network equipment. Managing their IT requirements was becoming a daily task of fixing issues. They knew they needed to make changes, however they were not sure of the best way to move forward.
The Solution – Cloud Transition
The MultiTrends team met with The Bloom Group and determined that our Cloud Services would be a great alternative to traditional severs. This solution allows full secure access and support for their 13 locations company data. Multitrends Implemented cloud services by virtualizing their Data Servers and installing them in our off site data center. This would save The Bloom Group a considerable amount of money and resources by eliminating the expense of having to invest in new hardware, software, and the associated setup costs involved.
Moving to cloud computing has proven to be a great decision. The Bloom Group has noticed a dramatic effect in their computing speeds, improved efficiency, a robust network, with a fully backed up redundant server environment. They no longer need to be responsible for IT.
The Fraser Property Management Team provides management services to single family residential, strata titled residential, apartment buildings and commercial & industrial real estate throughout Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Mission , Langley , Burnaby and the Tri-City area.
Fraser Property Management was using aging servers. This lead the company to experience a wide range of issues. Including outages, slowness, storage issues, and unreliable backs ups of company data. These problems led to a considerable amount of downtime and loss of company data. Staff and management would regularly be without basic tools required to carry out their daily operations. This situation was causing a substantial impact on productivity. Action had to be taken. This in turn led to another problem. Replacing and modernising their current infrastructure would come at a considerable cost to the company. The replacement of this infrastructure would also cause further disruption to their business.

Multitrends project Management Team ascertained that our Cloud Services could be successfully implemented into Fraser Property Managment’s infrastructure. Multitrends implemented cloud services by virtualizing their current servers. This eliminated the expense of new hardware and the associated set up costs involved. Fraser Property Management has also replaced their old legacy hardware with new virtual machines which allows continuity throughout their entire infrastructure.
Joining Multitrends Cloud environment has been a resounding success for Fraser Property Management, their staff, and their clients. Following the completion of their virtualization the company has seen a reduction in downtime. This has allowed them to improve their customer experience with a reliable and robust IT infrastructure.
